We should know the new batch of Xbox One backwards compatibility games by mid-December according to Microsoft’s Phil Spencer.

A fan asked Spencer on Twitter when we will hear of the next news about Xbox 360 games being backwards compatible on Xbox One. Spencer previously revealed announcements will be made on a monthly basis.

He said: “Still landing exact day for announce/launch of this month’s games. Should all be complete by mid-December

The first batch of games were made available on November 12th, although the list has 104 games at the moment. There is still room for several more Xbox 360 games to be added.

Some popular games have already been announced to be added in the pipeline. This includes the likes of Halo Reach, Skate 3 and several more games.

Sadly, it’s unknown at this stage where Rockstar stands in all of this. There has been no confirmation so far about any games from Rockstar being Xbox One backwards compatible soon.

This is interesting because Red Dead Redemption was the most requested game to be backwards compatible by Xbox 360 gamers. Maybe the publisher will consider it at a later date.

Be sure to check out Microsoft’s announcement each month to see what new 360 games will be available to play on your Xbox One consoles.
