by Kyle Hanson

Overwatch has been in the midst of a small, but very active closed beta session for the last week or so, depending on when you got added to the game. However, it looks like Blizzard is almost done taking community feedback about the game, announcing that the Overwatch closed beta end date is set for April 25th. This is just one week away, so if you have access to the multiplayer first person shooter you might want to get all the time in that you can before it disappears.

“The Overwatch Closed Beta has reached its final checkpoint. On April 25, our public testing phase will come to an end and our final preparations for the game’s launch will begin! Our sincerest thanks to all of our Closed Beta testers and everyone in the Overwatch community for participating in this critical part of the game’s development process. Over the past several months, you’ve shared tons of amazing feedback—and we’ve collected payloads of useful data—to help us balance, tweak, and fine-tune our heroes, maps, core game systems, and more. We hope you had a blast, and we can’t wait to fight alongside everyone on May 24.”

Of course, this still isn’t the last that you’ll get to see of Overwatch before it hits store shelves. An open beta is already set for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5th through the 9th. Those who preorder the game befor April 29th will get a special 48 hours of early access to the Overwatch open beta.
