PSVR Bundle with Skyrim VR Announced for North America
Sony has unveiled today a PSVR bundle including the upcoming The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR, the adaptation of the popular RPG to virtual reality, which will launch in North America on November 17. The game is one of the most interesting releases for the console VR platform in the last months of the year, and so it is one of the best options to get introduced to the new technology.
The bundle includes the PSVR system, a PlayStation Camera, two PlayStation Move controllers, a copy of the game, and a disc with 13 demos of VR titles. The package contains an updated PSVR model, which enables headphone cable integration on the headset, a slimmer connection cable, and a new processor unit that supports HDR pass through.
Skyrim VR comes with all the previously released expansions, including Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. The game comes preceded by the phenomenal success and excellent reviews of its original version, and with a massive world and 100h+ hours of content, it is perhaps the kind of large scale adventure that the catalogue of advanced VR platforms were missing.
Those eager to get started in the VR world should also take a look at the various game announcements Sony did during the past Paris Games Week, including brand new titles like Megalith, Bow to Blood, or Stifled. Previous VR hits that are already out include the excellent Resident Evil 7, which in a month is getting re-released with more content, and the shooter Farpoint.
The Skyrim VR bundle with PSVR launches in North America on November 17 for $449.99 USD and in Canada for $579.99 CAD. Watch the spectacular new promo for Skyrim VR below.
