The Xbox One is a great game machine, but its multimedia features have been a huge advantage for many fans. Whether it’s watching TV, Netflix, YouTube, or just listening to music, the console has offered fans a lot of ways to enjoy things outside of regular video games. One important piece had been missing though, with Xbox owners clamoring for Spotify to make an official app for Xbox One. According to a new report from The Verge and a few Reddit users, that seems to be just around the corner.

According to the Reddit posts, various Xbox users, including Major Nelson, have been spotted running a Spotify app on their Xbox One. The Verge followed up and received word from “Sources familiar with Spotify and Microsoft’s plans” that the Xbox One Spotify app was in internal testing, meaning it could debut soon if all goes well.

There’s still no official word from Microsoft or Spotify on the matter, so take this as a rumor for now. Still, it does make sense for Spotify to tap into this market, offering Xbox One gamers the chance to listen to music on their console, perhaps while also playing a game. Hopefully we get some confirmation soon.
