John Boyega has described that Star Wars: Episode 8 will have more action for Finn and that the script is much darker than The Force Awakens.

Boyega was interviewed by Vogue and he talked briefly about the script of Star Wars: Episode 8. He said: “It’s great. Much darker, but we’re very excited“. His co-star, Daisy Ridley, also said the script is great, but didn’t elaborate on it.

Revenge of the Sith is the darkest film of the entire series. However, The Empire Strikes Back was a darker film compared to A New Hope. The Force Awakens had some dark elements too, but it sounds like things will be even darker in Episode 8.

Boyega did a few action sequences in The Force Awakens, but it sounds like he will do even more action in Episode 8. He mentioned: “My part in the next film will be much more physical so I might be in the gym a bit more.”

There is a lot of unanswered questions from The Force Awakens that should hopefully get answered in the next film. It’s not a long wait for the next episode as it has a May 26th, 2017 release date.
