The gameplay demo of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that was shown at E3 2019 has been released by Respawn. The nearly thirty minute long presenation showcases a number of different gameplay features that are set to arrive in this single-player Star Wars adventure. Along with the release of the lengthy demo, Game Director, Stig Asmussen posted some accompanying thoughts on the game’s blog that touch on the difficulty of the game and some popular titles that inspired Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
According to Asmussen, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was inspired by some of the most popular game franchises and their non-linear level design that you’ll find in Metroid, Castlevania, and the Souls series. This means that players can expect to do some backtracking through the game to reach areas that couldn’t previously be accessed. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will feature numerous planets which will host abilities and upgrades that allow you to open up paths to new planets.

While the game is being developed by Respawn Entertaiment, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is EA’s second chance with making good on the Star Wars name. The launch of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was an absolute disaster for the company, turning what could’ve or should’ve been an incredible success into something that drew more bad publicity than happy Star Wars fans.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is slated for release in November, 2019 on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
