The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Episode 5 “From the Gallows” is set to hit PS4, Xbox One, PC, and other platforms on Tuesday, May 30th. The Walking Dead: A New Frontier has blazed a new path for Telltale’s long running series. While series star Clementine is featured, it’s definitely in a toned down, background capacity, rather than the main protagonist. Her story is still being told, but others are as well.
So far this season has been somewhat more hit-or-miss, when compared with the first two. Javi is an interesting new character, and his family drama keeps players engaged, but there hasn’t been as many major moments throughout the series. Season 1 was a brand new thing for most gamers, and Season 2 solidified the bond that they had with Clementine. Season 3 has expanded the world, but not delivered the same stellar storytelling.
We still have the final episode to go though, so Telltale could stick the landing and turn this into their best season yet. Either way it has been a solid game with an enjoyable story, it just might not live up to the previous seasons’ high bar.
