Twitch streaming on Xbox One is still months away

Twitch streaming on the Xbox One is still months away.  Providing an update on Twitter, “There is no ETA at this time from Microsoft,” according to Twitch.  So when should fans expect streaming features like those found on the PlayStation 4?

It appears that users will be waiting a few more months, but they haven’t ruled out an update that could provide the feature sooner.  The good news is that the streaming features on Xbox One are still only a few months away, and that would still signal a release in the first half of 2014.   But with Microsoft putting out their own internal fires on core Xbox Live features for the time being, Twitch is likely on the backburner for now.

Sony’s PS4 has proven that streaming content from the new consoles are popular.  So popular, that PlayStation 4 streams on now comprise 20% of the overall content.  Stay tuned for further updates on when to expect the promised full streaming capabilities of Twitch on the Xbox One, and when it will release.
