Ubisoft Expects PS4 And Xbox One Shortages Will Happen This Holiday

Ubisoft expects many people will snap up the PS4 and Xbox One this Holiday season that shortages might occur at retailers.

Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, made these comments during the company’s latest financial conference call. Guillemot feels there will be a strong demand for both consoles this Holiday and shortages might happen.

He said this is because there are “lots of fantastic games coming” and that this will be one fantastic Christmas season for the entire gaming industry.

Guillemot’s assessment for 2015 is pretty accurate. Last year was bungled thanks to games launching while still broken and so many remasters getting released.

The 2015 Holiday season is shaping up to be big. Halo 5: Guardians just came out on Xbox One and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is a much better and less glitchy game compared to Unity.

Later this month also sees the releases of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Fallout 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Star Wars Battlefront. December will end the AAA season with Just Cause 3 and Ubisoft’s own Rainbow Six Siege coming out.

The last time there were shortages for both the PS4 and Xbox One consoles were back in 2013. This was back when both consoles launched.
