There have been some problems with the most recent WWE 2K16 Update, Future Stars DLC, and Universe Mode that deals with the save data for players. 2K Games is aware of the issues and are currently investigating it.
2K Games posted on the official forums: “We’re aware of an issue some users are experiencing with Universe Mode save data connected to the Future Stars Pack DLC. After initial investigation, we’ve found this issue only affects PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 users will not experience this issue. If you are an active Universe Mode player on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, we recommend waiting to download the Future Stars Pack until we fully investigate and resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience.”
If you own the PS4 and Xbox One versions of WWE 2K16, hold off on downloading the new Future Stars DLC pack. It might ruin whatever progress you have made on Universe mode. If you don’t really play the Universe mode, you can download the DLC.
It’s interesting that only PS4 and Xbox One gamers are affected. If you own the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, you don’t have to worry about this issue. Hopefully 2K Games fixes the glitch so people can play Universe mode without the fear of losing corrupting save data.
