During development, a bug was found in the Radiant Story system that is responsible for paving your game experience. This bug would allow the chickens that roam the lands, to report crimes to the town guards. Todd Howard claimed that they noticed the bug when they began to be randomly caught for crimes that had no witnesses during the debugging process. When trying to track down the culprit, the team asked themselves “Why are we getting caught?”

As it turns out this chicken informant bug has been may be heading to the PC version of the game, as fans have promised to bring this feature back via mods.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is gearing up for release, sadly without Chicken Informants on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 this November.
