Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Leaks Suggest More Rotom Dex Functionality

Recently, some pages from an upcoming edition of CoroCoro magazine have leaked that give some new information about Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Past leaks of this sort have gone on to be proven mostly true, with minor inaccuracies largely being attributed to just translation errors.

One of the pages of the most recent leak suggests that the Rotom Pokédex will have more features than in the original Sun and Moon. According to translations by Serebii.net, the Rotom Dex will have an ability that may allow players to use Z-Moves more than just once per battle. The Rotom Dex will also apparently be able to find items for the player as well as powers that will do things such as increase the amount of experience points earned in battle. The Rotom Dex will also reportedly have a more personal role, with the player being able to respond to the Rotom Dex and answer its questions, after which the Rotom Dex will give a reaction based on the player’s response.

The leak also gave some new information regarding Necrozma’s new forms Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings. Both forms will have a unique Z-Move that can be used if Necrozma knows the signature move of either Solgaleo or Lunala. When holding the necessary Z-Crystal, Necrozma can use Sunshine Smasher in its Dusk Mane form or Moonlight Blaster in its Dawn Wings form. Apparently, Dusk Mane Necrozma will also have a new move called Photon Geyser. Both new forms of Necrozma will have the ability Prism Armor, the same ability that Necrozma has in its normal form which reduces the power of super effective moves used against it.
