A photographer told Millie Bobby Brown to smile at the ‘Stranger Things’ premiere, but her furious response has everyone talking

She was in no mood for smiling.

Millie Bobby Brown got into a heated moment with a photographer at the London premiere of Stranger Things Season 5. The 21-year-old actress, who has been famous since she was just 12 years old, made it clear she was not going to take orders while getting her picture taken at the event.

According to the New York Post, the whole thing went down while Brown was at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London for the special screening. She was standing in front of the cameras when someone behind the lens yelled at her to smile. What happened next surprised everyone watching.

Brown fired back at the photographer by saying, “Smile? You Smile!” and angrily pointed in their direction before walking away from the photo area. Videos of what happened started going around on social media right away, and people had a lot to say about it.

This got people talking and picking sides

The video divided people online, with some saying the actress should not have reacted that way. But some users also supported her.

“She said it exactly how i would’ve done. if someone wants me to smile, they better give me a real reason.. preferably one that starts with their hands on my waist,” one user wrote.

“She’s such an obnoxious overatted 🤡 and she’s still only 21 or something, so imagine how much more disrespectful she will become, especially to hard working people she needs to take her photos and keep her famous,” another user held an opposite view of the incident.

This London event happened one week after the Los Angeles premiere on November 6. When Brown showed up to that one, she was with her co-star David Harbour, who is 50, and they looked really happy together. People noticed this because there had been stories going around that Brown made a complaint about Harbour treating her badly while they were filming the Netflix show.

She only had nice things to say about working with Harbour on the premier, though. “I’ve obviously had a really special bond with David because we have a father and daughter relationship, and we do every scene together,” Brown said. “You really get to see that in season 5.”

Stranger Things Season 5 is going to be the last one after the show has been on for 10 years. Brown opened up to Variety about how she cried way more than she thought she would on the last day they filmed.

She admitted that even though she felt ready for the show to end both in her career and personal life, when it actually happened, it hit her really hard and she was not as prepared for it emotionally as she thought. The final season is going to have 8 episodes that will come out on Netflix in three parts on November 26, December 25, and December 31.
