YouTuber Jack Doherty was arrested in Miami Beach on Friday morning, November 14, 2025. The 20-year-old was picked up by Miami Beach Police outside a smoke shop and taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center just before 9 AM.
Doherty is facing three charges: having a controlled substance, having marijuana, and resisting arrest. Police records show that officers found amphetamine on him, which is a medicine normally given to people with ADHD and narcolepsy. They also found less than 20 grams of weed, as per TMZ. His bail was set at $3,500, and he hadn’t paid it yet by the time he was booked.
The arrest happened after YouTube star Jack Doherty was discovered by cops with these substances in his possession outside the Miami Beach smoke shop. Video from people nearby shows Doherty being surrounded by officers next to a police car before they put handcuffs on him and took him away.
He was literally on a yacht right before this happened
Only a few hours before police arrested him, Doherty was livestreaming on a platform called Parti and putting up new videos from a yacht in Miami. The young creator has been sharing his lifestyle in his recent streams, showing off travel videos, hanging out with other influencers, and filming around expensive cars and rental homes in the Miami area.
Doherty became famous back in 2017 when his videos of him flipping different things went viral. After that, he built up a huge following on different social media platforms. Right now, he has over 13 million followers on TikTok and Instagram combined, and 15 million subscribers on YouTube. His videos have changed a lot over the years from those basic flipping videos to big collaborations and livestreams of his lifestyle.
The charges against Doherty include having amphetamine, which counts as a controlled substance. While doctors can legally prescribe amphetamine for certain health problems, having it without a real prescription is against the law. The marijuana charge is for the under 20 grams that police say they found on him. This arrest adds to a growing list of legal troubles involving social media personalities.
Doherty was also charged with resisting arrest, but police haven’t shared the exact details about what happened that led to this extra charge. Miami Beach Police confirmed the arrest and all three charges against the content creator. As of Friday morning, Doherty was still being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with his bail set at $3,500. In recent months, several high-profile arrests have made headlines, bringing attention to legal problems affecting different public figures.
