UPDATE: Telltale has confirmed that the world premiere trailer will be released tomorrow, November 20th at 11am PT, 2pm ET.

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is marching along the usual path toward release, with a few teaser images over the last couple of weeks and now a trailer being hinted at for later on this week. The hint came from Telltale’s director of PR, Job J Stauffer who tweeted “Quick question. What’s everyone doing later this week? Also… do you like trailers? #IronFromIce”. That “Iron From Ice” tag is what ties this whole thing to Game of Thrones, as that will be the title of the first episode. If the game continues to follow traditional Telltale releases then the actual episode should hit very shortly after the trailer, probably within the month.

Quick question. What’s everyone doing later this week? Also… do you like trailers? #IronFromIce

Telltale’s Game of Thrones has been under heavy speculation since its announcement. Until recently all that we knew was that the game would be based on the HBO TV series, which is based on the books by George R. R. Martin. Eventually we found out that the game will take place during the run of the show, covering events that coincide with the end of season 3 through the beginning of season 5. Players will take on multiple roles as they switch between different members of House Forrester.

While House Forrester has been briefly mentioned in the books, they have not made an appearance or impacted the story in any known, direct way. However, your actions will be impactful as the choices made by one character will affect the story of the others. While Telltale has struggled to have truly meaningful change take place in many of their previous games, it seems like the multiple protagonist structure might help them achieve their goals.

We should find out later this month, or some time in December when the game finally releases. Until then keep checking here for the official reveal of the first Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series trailer later this week.
