Mega Man is turning 30 next year and Capcom celebrating the franchises legacy by announcing its intention to release Mega Man Legacy Collections 1 and 2 on the Nintendo Switch in Spring 2018.
Mega Man Legacy Collection was released in 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS and PC, and includes Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, and Mega Man 6; while Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 was released in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and includes Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10.
The Switch version of the first Mega Man Legacy Collection will add a new “Rewind” feature which allows users to rewind time in order to undo mistakes. The PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the collection will receive an update to add this feature.
Both collections will have Amiibo support — just like the 3DS version of Mega Man Legacy Collection did before it.
This news came in conjunction with word that both all eight entries in the Mega Man X franchise and an all-new entry in the main series, Mega Man 11, will be coming to current-gen platforms.
