PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds will be down for maintenance on January 10th, 2017. Maintenance began just a short while ago, and is expected to last for around four hours. The developers have asked that players download the latest patch for the game via the Steam client once servers are back on.
Patch #2 following the release of the 1.0 version of PUBG on PC features a number of different improvements to the game. The full patch notes can be found over on the Steam Community page for PUBG.
The patch introduces a number of things, for example, new unlockable customization options and premium crates accessible through microtransactions which feature items that are incredibly hard to earn.
On to the good stuff, the map of Miramar is adding more objects to increase cover on the map. Visible distance is also being reduced to optimize server and client performance during the early phases of the game.
Some less important things that’ll be found following the patch are the design change for the energy drink consumable item.
PC PUBG Servers should be live by 12AM CT or earlier according to the developers.
Update: The PUBG servers are back online, but the developer also issued a statement regarding BP that was “not given out properly” after an issue occurred after the PC 1.0 launch, up until the December 27th maintenance. Following today’s update, PUBG will be compensating for the lost BP by giving it out to all players. The BP that was lost during this time can be claimed until February 9th.
