Among your inventory of weapons featured in Metro Exodus is the tried-and-true classic: the Tikhar. More commonly known as the Air Gun, this weapon has been cobbled together using spare parts and a bunch of duct tape. What it lacks in polish, it makes up for in effectiveness and usefulness. This weapon runs on air and spits out common, easily crafted ball bearings. But to use it, you need to know the basics. Here’s how to pump the air gun, otherwise known as the Tikhar, in Metro Exodus.

The process is pretty simple, requiring s quick hold of the Reload button (X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, and R on PC). After that you just pull the right trigger, or press the left mouse button to pump the air in. Of course, you first need to equip the gun, so check out this guide on how to switch to the Tikhar, if you’re having trouble with it.

Now, there are some things to keep in mind with the Air Gun in Metro Exodus. You can overpump it, filling it with way more air than it’s supposed to hold. You’ll know you’ve done this if the meter on the gun is way to the right, in the red. This can cause issues with your shots though, with many flying wild and causing big problems, if you’re going for stealth. It’s best to keep it right at the top of the green section, pumping a few times, but not all the way. Then just keep an eye on the meter and pump it back up after a few shots.

And that’s how to pump the air gun, otherwise known as the Tikhar, in Metro Exodus.
