Fortnite: How to Reach Top Speed in a Ferrari 296 GTB

Recommended Videos

The Ferrari 296 GTB is the first licensed car to come to Fortnite, and you’ll have to reach top speed with the new vehicle in order to complete one of this week’s quests. The Ferrari is a very fast car, but you actually don’t have to push the vehicle to its limit for this challenge. You’ll still have to build up quite a bit of speed, but the term “top speed” is a bit misleading. As long as you drive in the right conditions, you should be able to complete this quest with ease. Here’s how to reach top speed in a Ferrari 296 GTB in Fortnite.

How to Reach Top Speed in a Ferrari in Fortnite

The Ferrari 296 GTB can reach speeds of over 100 MPH in Fortnite, but you don’t need to go that fast to complete this quest. You will only need to reach a little over 80 MPH in order for it to count as “top speed.” This is because the Ferrari replaced the Whiplash, which had a maximum speed of about 88 MPH. It looks like Fortnite still technically counts the car as a Whiplash, so you only need to reach that speed for this challenge.

The best place to do this quest is Believer Beach. Ferraris tend to spawn there quite frequently, and there’s a long, straight road that you can use to build up speed. If you’re having difficulty tracking down a Ferrari, check out our Fortnite Ferrari locations map.

To reach top speed, you have to drive the Ferrari in optimal conditions. Find a long stretch of road without any obstacles blocking your path and hit the accelerator as hard as you can. If you can find a downhill path, that’s even better. Don’t be afraid to hit the boost if you need some extra speed. Once the speedometer hits roughly 88 MPH, the challenge will be complete.

Once you get this quest out of the way, you can work on the other Ferrari-themed challenges for Week 7. This week, you’ll have to complete Ferrari Time Trials and drive a Ferrari through the storm. Alongside the Ferrari challenges, you’ll also need to construct a wooden hatchery and defeat Riot as well.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
