The Stormchaser in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 Stormchaser God Roll: Best Perks for PVP and PVE

Recommended Videos

Even though the Season of the Haunted just started, we have gotten even more new content in Destiny 2. A new dungeon has been added to the game and with a new dungeon comes a bunch of new weapons. One of these new weapons in Destiny 2 is the Stormchaser and for reasons we will get into, you will want to get a God Roll of it. Compared to any other Linear Fusion rifle in the game, a God Roll of the Stormchaser will beat it in DPS. Let’s go over the God Roll perks to look out for on the Stormchaser.

Stormchaser PVE God Roll Perks in Destiny 2

The Stormchaser has a very unique frame that makes it a three-shot burst linear fusion rifle. this is already enough to make it stand out from all other linear fusion rifles, but then you look at the damage. Running this weapon with Rapid Hit and Firing Line allows you to have insane DPS. If you can’t get a Firing Line Roll on it, you could take a Vorpal Weapon roll but you really want to find one with at least Rapid Hit. Auto Loading Holster can be an alternative to Rapid Hit but you will be losing a lot of DPS if you don’t have Rapid Hit.

For the Magazine mod, you will want to get Accelerated Coils to allow you to fire as fast as possible. Since you will be firing it quickly and rapidly you will want to get a barrel mod to help with stability and recoil, which means you will want to get either Polygonal Rifling or Arrowhead Brake. Finally, for the masterwork, you will want to go for either Charge Time or Stability if you are having trouble hitting all your shots.

Stormchaser PVP God Roll Perks in Destiny 2

While you may want to run an Austringer for PVP, having the Stormchaser as your heavy weapon is never a bad idea. For PVP, you will want to get Rapid Hit and the other perk really doesn’t matter. You could go Vorpal Weapon to do more damage to any guardians using their super, but the three-round burst of the Stormchaser means that even hitting body shots with all three shots will still net you a kill. Since you will be using this in PVP the Barrel and Magazine mod do still matter a bit.

For your barrel, you will want either Fluted Barrel for handling or Arrowhead Brake for recoil control. For the magazine you will be wanting to pick up some more range in the form of Projection Fuse, you could still go with Accelerated Coils if you feel confident that you can hit all of your shots and just want to fire it quickly in combat, but that is up to preference.

Sadly you can’t reforge this weapon through the crafting system, so you will be farming the second encounter of the new dungeon in Destiny 2 until you get the exact roll you want. Maybe in the future, it will have a pattern added to the game so you can reforge it, but for the time being get out there and get farming.
