With so many gacha games out there, finding the best can be tricky, especially if you want to play them both on PC and Mobile. Luckily, we compiled a list to help you with that.
Whether you’re looking for tactical games, turn-based RPGs, or even borderline idle games, our list probably has at least one gacha game that will interest you.
Disgaea RPG
Disgaea RPG is not just another mobile game using a famous IP. It features the famous reincarnation mechanic in its leveling system, keeping the game familiar to fans of the franchise. If you’re a Disgaea fan, the many familiar characters and respect for the source material will probably make you happy. Disgaea RPG’s story mode is quite robust, too, making it a blast to play through.
Unfortunately, the gameplay is where Disgaea fans might feel a bit turned off. This game has its own merits, but the battles lack the tactical depth seen in Disgaea games. However, if you can accept this change or look beyond it, there’s an engaging and enjoyable RPG wait
Gems of War – Puzzle RPG
This game has been around forever. Although not unique, the odd combination of Puzzle and RPG elements seen in this game is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Gems of War has mastered the gameplay seen in Puzzle Quest, delivering a match-3 game within an RPG that even has PvP.
If you’re looking for more than just turn-based combat in an RPG and have a penchant for puzzle mobile games, there’s a good chance Gems of War is the kind of unique combination of genres that will appeal to you.
Onmyoji
Onmyoji is a turn-based MMO RPG that draws its themes and concepts from Japanese mythology. The game’s combat system has players capturing creatures to use them in battle. These creatures evolve over time as you play, much like other monster-collecting games out there. All that said, collecting mystical creatures, evolving them, and making your own squad is one of the most fun elements of this game.
The turn-based combat features an automated battle system and offers a 2x speed option, akin to many games in the genre. Each character has three skill trees with widely different skills that impact your strategies and overall gameplay. Although this game can be challenging, it is also quite entertaining. In it, you will find dungeons, boss battles, and various events that are constantly changing.
Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is a well-known, highly successful action RPG with gacha elements. Developed and published by miHoYo, the game has been widely acclaimed for its stunning art style and engaging gameplay. It features an open-world environment and an action-based battle system that uses elemental magic and character-switching.

The gameplay is fluid and dynamic, offering a mix of exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving. Characters in Genshin Impact have unique abilities and playstyles, providing depth and variety to the combat. The gacha elements come into play in the form of “Wishes,” essentially loot boxes that allow players to obtain new characters and weapons.
Honkai Impact 3rd
Honkai: Star Rail is another masterfully developed game by MiHoYo, but they’ve come out with a turn-based sci-fi RPG this time. As the Trailblazer, you traverse planets on the Astral Express, a train-like spaceship, as the story unfolds with unexpected twists.
Inevitably, as a free-to-play gacha game, there exists a disparity between players who invest money and those who don’t. That said, this is a fun game, even if you don’t spend a dime on it. Honkai: Star Rail gives enough resources to get started, and it might take a while until you feel like you have to buy their premium currency.

Dungeon Hunter Champions
Developed by Gameloft, Dungeon Hunter Champions is a popular hack-and-slash RPG game with PvP and PvE modes. It even has a 5v5 PvP game mode that is extraordinarily similar to MOBA games like League of Legends. When playing this game as a more traditional action RPG, players will use many champions and switch between them to use their varied, unique abilities in fast-paced battles.
There are over 250 champions in this game, which form the core focus of its gacha elements. The PvP side of this game is not that deep. The game doesn’t feel like it’ll ever be truly balanced in that regard. Still, if you like mobile action RPGs, the many different characters in Dungeon Hunter Champions might keep the game fresh and fun.
Valkyrie Connect
Valkyrie Connect is a gacha RPG where you build a party of heroes to face the many threats the game throws your way. It has over 100 characters, a good variety of bosses, attack animations, and many different things to be collected and upgraded, as you’d expect in such games.
Thanks to an initial generous drop of premium currency and an extended honeymoon period, Valkyrie Connect maintains manages to stay engaging for new players. The experience is even better for those seeking a cooperative and social gaming experience. All that said, this is a game for those who don’t want to be thinking tactically or actively during battles. There’s a strategy element in building your party, but there is not much to be played when fighting enemies.
Arknights
Arknights is a game that combines tactical RPGs with Tower Defense mechanics. The gameplay is unique in more than one regard, allowing players to come up with multiple correct solutions to the same challenge. This rare kind of engaging game offers a creative, unique gameplay style and high-quality art style that perfectly matches its post-apocalyptic anime theme.
Arknights is not just another gacha game that relies solely on auto-battles and quick rewards for its appeal. It also provides a compelling and well-written story with thought-provoking moments, fully fleshed-out characters, and philosophical questions. While it may not offer the most generous free-to-play experience, the game does provide beginner-friendly banners and frequent events that enable players to accumulate resources.
Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission
In Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission, players create characters, build teams, and engage in strategic card battles battles. The game offers a bunch of game modes, including arcade, story, and online play. As for its gacha elements, Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission has over 1,000 character cards, each with unique abilities and illustrations.
Despite its engaging features, the game heavily favors decks with powerful character cards. This can cause the strategy element to feel secondary during battles. Additionally, a few polishing issues in the audio and graphics can hinder your overall experience. Nonetheless, for Dragon Ball fans, the game’s immersive content and captivating fan service may well outweigh these minor issues.
