FFXIV The Rising 2021: How to Get the Red Moon Parasol and Nymeia Potpourri

Recommended Videos

The Rising 2021 event is now live in Final Fantasy XIV, celebrating eight years since the launch of FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. Just like the years prior, this year’s Rising event adds a short seasonal quest to the game and has free rewards that you can only get during the event period. This year, a Red Moon Parasol is up for grabs along with Nymeia Potpourri, consumable items that can be used to perform a flower emote. Here’s how to start The Rising 2021 in Final Fantasy XIV and get all the free rewards.

How to Start The Rising Quest in FFXIV

To start The Rising 2021 quest, head to Ul’dah and speak with Kipih Jakkya at the Steps of Nald (X:10.0, Y:8.7). You’ll know you’re in the right place if you hear the music change to the Final Fantasy prelude. The quest is called Rising Calm, and you must be at least Level 15 to accept it. Anyone can participate in the event as long as they’re Level 15, even Free Trial players.

After speaking to Kipih Jakkya, head north to talk to Momodi at the Quicksand. You can teleport the Aetheryte Shard at the Adventurer’s Guild for a shortcut. Momodi will send you to see Severian at the Alchemists’ Guild, which can be found at the Steps of Thal. After talking to Severian, speak with Deitrich the Guild Receptionist behind the counter.

After leaving the Alchemists’ Guild, return to Kipih Jakkya at the Quicksand. She will send you to the Ruby Road Exchange to see the Wandering Minstrel. After talking to him, it’s time to head back to the Quicksand to see Kipih Jakkya once again. Finally, return to the Wandering Minstrel to complete the quest.

Where is The Rising Vendor?

The Rising Vendor is located in Ul’dah at the Steps of Nald (X:10.5, Y:8.5). She’s standing a short distance away from the event stage, so she shouldn’t be too hard to find. She has a few consumable items from past Rising events on sale for cheap prices. Here’s what you can buy from The Rising vendor in 2021:

  • Nymeria Potpourri – 19 Gil
  • Realm Reborn Red – 19 Gil
  • Magicked Prism (Meteor Survivor) – 19 Gil
  • Heavenscracker – 19 Gil
  • Meteor Shower – 19 Gil
  • Magicked Prism (Flowers) – 19 Gil

The Rising 2021 will run from August 27 at 12:00 AM to September 9 at 7:59 AM PDT. Make sure you complete this quest and get this year’s items now, otherwise you’ll have to wait until they hit the Final Fantasy XIV store next year.
