Fortnite: Raven Punchcard Guide (How to Destroy Sideways Rocks, Launch from a Corruption Vent)

Recommended Videos

Raven’s Punchcard has been added to Fortnite and is an excellent source of XP, being easily completable in just a single game. In this Fortnite guide, we will be covering how to complete all ofthe Raven Punchcard tasks with ease, including how to ‘Destroy Sideways Rocks’ and ‘Launch from a Corruption Vent’, as well as the best method to complete all 5 quests within mere seconds of each other.

How to Destroy Sideways Rocks in Fortnite

Raven’s first quest in Fortnite is to ‘Destroy Sideways Rocks’. Although there are no quest markers, this quest is simple and leads straight into the next. As soon as the game starts, open the map and look for the giant bubble surrounding a random Point of Interest. This is ‘The Sideways’, which spawns on a random POI and is filled with unique loot and hostile ‘Cube Monsters’. Land just outside the bubble, find a weapon and head into The Sideways. Look for large, purple rocks (pictured below) and simply destroy them with your harvesting tool. Make sure to stay in The Sideways, as all of Raven’s quests either takes place or is easily complete here.

Launch from a Corruption Vent in The Sideways

To launch from a Corruption Vent, you’ll first need to find one. Corruption Vents are large, orange openings in the ground within The Sideways. Simply run on top of one and you’ll be launched straight into the air, completing the quest. As the next quest in Raven’s Punchcard requires you to glide, make sure to take a running jump, which will allow you to do just that.

Eliminate Cube Monsters in The Sideways 15 seconds after gliding

Cube Monsters are the large, rock-like enemies roaming The Sideways. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, make a running jump at a Corruption Vent, which will enable you to glide. Land in a prime spot within The Sideways and eliminate 3 Cube Monsters. It’s better to aim for the smaller Cube Monsters, as they take the least amount of time to kill. Practice aiming for the head, as you’ll need to land multiple headshots in the next quest.

Get Headshots from Above

‘Get headshots from above’ may sound a little daunting at first, but luckily this works on Cube Monsters. Take advantage of the zero-gravity in The Sideways and get to high ground. If nowhere is easily accessible by jumping, use the Corruption Vents to land in a high place. Aim for the head on the wandering Cube Monsters below and pull off two headshots to move on to the final quest in Raven’s Punchcard.

Destroy Chests with a Harvesting Tool

In every Sideways zone, there is a large, purple spire surrounded by four chests. Find the spire and run to the chests surrounding it, hitting two of them with your harvesting tool until they fully break. If the chests have already been looted or destroyed, you can break chests found throughout the map.
Enabling ‘Visualise sound effects’ in the options can help with finding chests, especially if you’re not using a headset. This option will display the general location of chests if you’re within close proximity of them, fading or getting brighter the closer you are to the chest.

Congratulations! You’ve completed Raven’s Punchcard in Fortnite! Although the XP rewarded from the Punchcard is only available once, repeatable quests now also reward XP every time they’re completed. It might be worth picking up Raven’s quests every now and again to boost your overall XP gain.
