Recommended Videos

A Fornite x Spider-Man collaboration has been creeping closer and closer to being revealed. Fortnite, above anything else, is known for its epic collaborations, giving players skins to play as their favorite heroes, villains, pop stars, and more. Fans have eagerly been waiting for news of a Spider-Man collab throughout the whole year. Here’s everything we know.

It’s simple, really. Spider-Man is one of the most popular superheroes of all time. Fortnite is one of the most popular video games of all time. Paired together, they are a match made in heaven. With a full Marvel season and several other crossovers out of the way, players are eager to know what new skin will release next. Hopefully, it’s Spider-Man.

Fortnite x Spider-Man Leaks

A major leak from @HYPEX on Twitter confirms that the Fortnite x Spider-Man collab is happening. Crumbs of these leaks have been happening often recently, but with this leak, we are getting closer and closer to the truth. Dataminers have discovered that Epic has been working on an item codenamed “WestSausage.” With a little stretching, leakers think that that could possibly be a pseudo name for “Web-Slinger” because the item has swinging mechanics. Some of the swinging mechanics are “Swing Attach Location, Swing Detach Time, Swinging, Swing Accelerate, Swing Jump.”

Fortnite x Spider-Man Release Date

There is no official release date for a Fortnite x Spider-Man collab yet, but many think that it will happen before the end of the year. With the newest movie “Spider-Man: No Way Home” coming out this December, it’s easy to see that Fortnite will release their Spider-Man this year.

Fortnite-Chapter-2-Season-4-Challenges

Fortnite is no stranger to Marvel skins. In the past, there has been Iron Man, Thor, Black Panther, Gamora, Captain Marvel, Thanos, and so many more. Also, within the Spider-Man Universe, Fortnite has released Venom and Carnage skins earlier this year. With all of this in mind, there will definitely be a Spider-Man release sometime soon.

Is Spider-Man Coming to Fortnite?

Spider-Man is still a licensed character to Sony, not Disney like the rest of Marvel. Because of this, there could be difficulties and more hoops to jump through for Epic.

Like Thanos who was released as a mythic, not a skin, Spider-Man could be released as a mythic with specific powers that make him unique. Also, it is possible that Spider-Man could be a limited-time release because of Sony’s licensing rules, but that is unconfirmed.

Fortnite-Chapter-2-Season-4-Week-2-Challenges

Spider-Man is already no stranger to Fortnite. In Season 4, there was an achievement called ‘Thwip!’. The way that players earned this was by eliminating an opponent after hooking them with a Harpoon Gun, very similar to how Spider-Man famously webs his foes. The emblem of the achievement is also a Spider-Man-like logo.

Also, two seasons ago, there was a web pattern in the official Fortnite teasers. Then, people believed that it nodded towards Spider-Man, but now it seems like it might finally happen.

There is always exciting news surrounding Fortnite. Whether you’re looking out for a Squid Game skin, Naruto skin, or Mario skin, stay tuned to know all the rumors and official news surrounding Fortnite.

Fortnite is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices.
