With the new update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, many fans are asking how to get the Pro Decoration License and spruce up their island homes. The license gives you more options when styling your home and is a must for any keen Animal Crossing interior designer. This guide will explain what the coveted item is and what it can do for you.

How to Get the Pro Decoration License

Following the full launch of the update, the Pro Decoration License is now available in the game. To access the new item, you’ll have to get yourself along to the Nook Stop Terminal and check out the Resident Services. If you’ve played the game extensively, you probably know this location as a source of many island essentials.

At the Resident Services, you can purchase the Pro Decoration License for 2,500 Nook Miles. For avid players, this is pocket change, but if you need to rack up some extra currency, you can use our helpful guide on making and spending Nook Miles in Animal Crossing.

How to Use the Pro Decoration License

Now that you’ve got your license, you need to know what you can do with it. The main two improvements included with the feature are accent walls and hanging items. The accent walls option makes it so you can have a wall that stands out from the rest in your home and add a bit of variety to the visuals. So just walk up to one of your four walls and hit ‘Select Accent Wall’, and you’ll be able to add some flair into your living space.

Meanwhile, hanging items can be placed around your dwelling, offering an extra layer of customisation to the already deep decorative element. This option is a little trickier than some of the other home customisation options as not all items are hangable, but you will be able to see in your home inventory what can and can’t hang from the ceiling.

That’s everything you need to know about the Pro Decoration License in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a fun new feature that offers more choice to a community of eager decorators.
