No, you can’t make Yoda in Little Alchemy 2

Contrary to popular belief, not all content introduced in a prior game needs to be included in its sequel. Take the case of Little Alchemy 2, which features the combination of elements and items to craft a total of 720 items as the main and unique mechanic. And while you can spend a bit of time attempting to collect all those items and log them in your in-game encyclopedia, you might find yourself looking at the screen for eternity waiting for Yoda to pop out. And that is because you can’t make Yoda in Little Alchemy 2. He might as well be hiding in Dagobah for all we know.

Little Alchemy 2: No more Yoda, or Vader

Little Alchemy 2 brings forth a lot more combinations than the original game. While this sounds encouraging initially, this carries a huge “but”. And that is that, while you can combine far more material than before, no longer are you able to craft licensed items, which includes our favorite little green force-wielding friend. Little did almost a thousand years of Jedi training and teaching matter in the face of an eventual cease-and-desist letter.

Many sites report that this is possible, in an attempt to copy and paste the same recipe from the original game, however, there are several errors. Not only have some recipes changed, but while you can craft a Jedi, now named a Force Knight to fool those copyright overlords, you cannot combine it with a swamp. Believe me, I tried, and it was an adventure that did not yield any results whatsoever. You can stop trying to make Darth Vader as well while you are at it, he isn’t available. He got beaten by those younglings after all.

Well, in case you are wondering, here is the recipe for you to create a Force Knight. You might as well call the character Ahsoka. After all “she is no Jedi”.
