How to Ride Creatures in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3

Recommended Videos

One of the features added to the newest Season 3 update for Fortnite is the ability to ride different creatures that you come across in the world. You’ll be able to mount one of these mighty steeds and navigate the world, all while building and blasting foes. You’ll still be out in the open, but with their enhanced speed and ability to maneuver, you’ll be a harbinger of doom upon your foes.

But, how do you get one of these stunning steeds, and how do you use them to your best advantage? Let’s take a look at the different steed options you’ll have, as well as how you’ll be able to use them to your advantage.

How To Ride Creatures In Chapter 3, Season 3 of Fortnite

As you venture around the world, you may encounter a few different creature types, such as the Boar or the Wolf. If you come across one of these, you’ll have a few different options. In the past, the only thing that players were able to do with them is hunt them, where they would drop a few different types of items, usually consumable items that you’ll be able to use to heal or give yourself some extra shields.

Now, however, if a player is wanting to use them for their own purposes, you’ll be able to mount and ride these creatures. All you’ll need to do to make this happen is jump on the creature’s back. That’s all there is to it! You could have a boar or wolf chasing you, and if you take the initiative and jump onto their back, you’ll be able to ride them around the world.

You’ll even be able to jump with these creatures, as well as charge towards enemies, causing damage if you happen to hit them. While you are riding any of the creatures, you’ll have full access to your arsenal, so you’ll be able to take down foes in a multitude of different ways. You’ll even be able to use special tactics like a dismount jump while you’re jumping with your creature to get an extra boost in your jump, so you’ll be able to make it to higher spots, or use it as a good way to get the jump on an opponent that is trying to take you down.

That’s all there is to riding one of these creatures in Fortnite! All you’ll need to do is jump on their back, and you’ll be ready to ride. If you’re looking for other ways to make it around the map this season, there are plenty of different traversal options at your disposal, including the new Grappling Gloves and the return of the fan-favorite Baller vehicle. If you need to find your way around the world and its new locations, or if you’re searching for the NPC characters to get your hands on some great weapons, we’ve got you covered with all of this information and more in our handy Fortnite Guide section.
