The Kirby Star Allies Wave 3 update was recently made available, and like previous updates, it brings new Dream Friends to the game. Three of these new Dream Friends are Magolor from Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, Taranza from Kirby: Triple Deluxe, and Susie from Kirby: Planet Robobot, and they are all available immediately after downloading the new update. The last Dream Friend this update brings to the game is the Three Mage-Sisters, who have to be unlocked.

To unlock the Three Mage-Sisters as a Dream Friend, you’ll have to beat the new mode brought to the game by the Wave 3 update, Heroes in Another Dimension. This new mode features more challenging puzzles and boss fights than you’ll find in the main campaign, so be ready. However, simply beating this new mode isn’t all it takes to make these new friends. In the new mode, you’ll have to collect Friend Hearts, with thirty being available in each of the mode’s four Dimensions (excluding the Final Dimension, which is just boss fights). This means that there are 120 Friend Hearts total that you can collect in this new mode, and some of them can be pretty tricky to obtain. In order to unlock the Mage-Sisters as Dream Friends, you’ll have to have collected at least 100 of these Friend Hearts before taking on the Mage-Sisters in battle in the Final Dimension. If you need help getting through this difficult boss fight, you can use our guide on the fight, which recommends a particular strategy, by clicking here. If you’ve already beaten the Mage-Sisters boss fight with less than 100 Friend Hearts, you can simply click “Continue” and then go back to each Dimension and continue to find new Friend Hearts, rather than having to start a new game in the mode.

Once you have collected 100 Friend Hearts and beaten the Mage-Sisters, there will be a new cutscene, after which you’ll unlock the Mage-Sisters as a Dream Friend. All three Mage-Sisters take up a single slot in the Dream Friend selection, similar to Rick, Kine, and Coo. Unlocking the Mage-Sisters as Dream Friends of course means that you’ll be able to play as them in The Ultimate Choice and Guest Star ???? modes as well.
