Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening – How To Get Angler Key

There are many dungeons to explore in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, each of which are blocked off in some capacity to where you have to complete some tasks to gain access. Some of these need a get to get into them and the fourth dungeon, Angler’s Tunnel, is no different. This guide will explain just how you can get the Angler Key that you need to gain access to it.

The Angler Key is not readily available for you to find, but rather you have to do a number of things after completing Key Cavern before you can get it. This includes trading the Stick and Honeycomb as part of the trade sequence, finding Marin to wake up the sleeping walrus, and then making your way to Yarna Desert.

Once in Yarna Desert, you must go and face off against the mini-boss Lanmola, which we explained how to beat in another guide. After Lanmola is defeated, it will drop the Angler Key right then and there. If you don’t grab it quick enough, it will be sucked down the hole in the middle of this area.

Do not worry though, as you can follow it into the hole and pick it up down here, but make sure to watch out for lurking enemies. If you do fall, just grab it and head to the right to go up the stairs and continue on your journey to Angler’s Tunnel.
