How Does Wordle Work?

Wordle is a word-guessing game where you have six attempts to guess the word of the day using five-letter words. Each word put in must exist in the English language and will be judged based on the letters used.

Letters in yellow indicate that they are in the word of the day, but are used in a different spot. Letters in green means you got them in the right position for the actual word. Grey simply means they do not exist in that particular word.

The best way to open your attempt for the day is to use words with lots of vowels. There is such a tiny chance that words do not have A, E, I, O, or U in them. So if you use words like AUDIO, it essentially rules out 4 of the 5 main vowels in the alphabet. This makes subsequent tries significantly easier because from there, you can work on possible greens and yellows you got.
