When is Squirtle Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO
as you can see on the full July 2021 Spotlight Hour schedule, all of these events take place on Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm. For Squirtle that will be Tuesday, July 20th. The timing is local, so no need to Google your time zone. Just watch for the clock to hit 6pm on the 20th and the event should kick off right away. What will be happening? How do you prepare? What is the Squirtle Spotlight Hour Bonus, How to Prepare
Of course the main bonus of Squirtle Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO will be the massively increased spawn rate of the featured Pokémon for the hour long event. As you can see below, this gives a great chance to catch Shiny Squirtle. Along with that though comes an additional bonus for all players. For this week it will be 2x Transfer Candy.
All of those rare Pokémon you caught during GO Fest 2021 should come in handy here, if you haven’t transferred them already. This is also a good time to transfer any Legendary Pokémon you have saved up that don’t have another purpose. So be sure to go through and transfer any Pokémon you don’t need to keep any more. Otherwise you should probably spend your time looking for Shiny Squirtle.
Can Squirtle be Shiny, How to Catch Shiny Squirtle during Spotlight Hour
Squirtle can be shiny during Spotlight Hour in July 2021, offering a great chance to catch one of your own. As always, the key to finding Shiny Squirtle is simply to encounter as many of them as you can. Activating an Incense and/or Lure Module at the start of the event is always a good idea. Then just encounter every Squirtle that you see to find out if it’s shiny. If not you can either catch it quickly or back out to keep hunting.
