The original promise of the Pokemon series, to “catch ’em all” has become quite the task over the years. What once seemed like a simple adventure to hunt down and catch 150 creatures turned into 151, then 302 when shiny Pokemon got into the mix, which has only ballooned as more characters have been added. Thankfully, for the rabid collectors out there, there is one item that makes finding shiny Pokemon much easier. Here’s how to get the Shiny Charm in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.

We previously mentioned the Shiny Charm as a way to increase your odds of finding shiny Pokemon, but how do you get it? The answer is both simple and really, really hard. You have to complete your Pokedex in Let’s Go. This means you need to catch every Pokemon in the game. Hell, you have to catch every character who is not in the game as well, so get to trading or start transferring characters in from Pokemon GO. Once you have a complete Pokedex in Let’s Go you can get the Shiny Charm, but where?

In case you missed it, it’s the big green building to the left of the Pokemon Center. Head there and up to the third floor. Talk to the man in the blue shirt and show him your complete Pokedex to receive the Shiny Charm.
