Follow the pulse to locate it and then zero in with Eagle Eye.

In Red Dead Online you will periodically be able to go on treasure hunts in the game with the opportunity to earn gold, cash, and other items.  Treasure Maps will be found in the game that allow you to go on these Treasure Hunts and these are a good way to get gold or cash in Red Dead Online.  You can look for Treasure Maps after you’ve raned up and you can try to find treasure maps on bodies of people that you kill if you loot them.

To access your treasure maps you will need to head into your Satchel and then go to the Documents tab.  Once you open a treasure map a large area on the map will be highlighted in yellow where you can search for a treasure.

Once you get to the location you’re going to want to use a couple of things to find the treasure.  When you enter the treasure area you will feel a vibration on the controller that will get more intense as you get closer to the treasure.  You can use the vibrations to lead you to the treasure, or you can use the Eagle Eye vision by pressing in the Right and Left Thumbsticks to reveal the location of the Treasure Chest.

Treasure Chest opportunities are pretty rare, but they provide a great way to get Gold Nuggets as well as cash and other items.  The most reliable way to find treasure once you’ve found a treasure map is to use the vibrating feature to target the general area and then use the Eagle Vision to find it once you are close enough to see it.
