Riders Republic: Server Status – Are servers down?

Recommended Videos

Riders Republic is a game that requires you to be constantly connected to Ubisoft’s servers, making it frustrating if you’re hit with that ‘Server Status: Offline’ message. “Are Riders Republic‘s servers down?” and “Is it on my end?” are the first questions that undoubtedly come to mind. Don’t worry, in this guide, we will detail exactly what to do if you can’t access Riders Republic‘s servers. Sometimes, all it requires is a simple restart.

Are Riders Republic servers down? How to check Server Status

The first thing to do if you receive the ‘Servus Status: Offline’ message is to check the official Ubisoft page for Riders Republic support. Here, you can see the latest updates on server status and known issues with Ubisoft games. We also recommend following @RidersRepublic and @UbisoftSupport on Twitter to find out about server outages as soon as they happen.

If Riders Republic‘s servers aren’t experiencing any issues and you’re playing the game on Xbox or PlayStation, check the online status of Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. For Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S, visit the Xbox Status page and for PlayStation, check the PlayStation Network Service page. Xbox also has an official Twitter support account, @XboxSupport, which regularly updates users on outages of individual game services and Xbox Live itself.

It can also be worth checking social media, like Twitter or Reddit, to see if other players are reporting having the same issues before the server status is officially announced.

If Xbox Live, PlayStation Network or Riders Republic happen to be down, the only thing you can do is wait patiently until they return. Luckily, you can still enjoy Riders Republic’s Zen Mode offline, which allows you to explore the entire map however you choose, with no interruptions. Why not practice your tricks with our Bike Tricks and Ski & Snowboard Tricks guides while you wait?

Still Unable to Play Riders Republic, Despite Server Status

If Riders Republic’s servers seem to be experiencing no issues, the next thing to attempt is resetting the game. It’s been noted that Xbox Series X/S’s ‘Quick Resume’ feature can cause the ‘Server Status: Offline’ message, even if the servers are working normally.

On Xbox Series consoles, press the guide button (Xbox logo) to enter the home menu, highlight Riders Republic, press the start button and then select ‘Quit’. This will completely close the game down, whereas the console usually utilises Quick Resume to instantly access exactly where you exited the game. Ensure you quit the game when you’ve finished playing to avoid this issue in the future.

This error is less common on PlayStation 5, but the game can be closed in a similar manner. Press the PS button to enter the home menu, highlight Riders Republic, press the options button and then select ‘close game’.

How to Update Riders Republic

If restarting the game doesn’t solve the issue, then updating might. Riders Republic requires the software to be updated to the latest version in order to play online, which could be causing the issue. Your gaming platform should automatically update, depending on your settings, but sometimes have to be manually forced.

Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X

  • Select ‘My games & apps’
  • Find and highlight Riders Republic
  • Press the start button
  • Select ‘Manage game and add-ons’
  • Select ‘Updates’

PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5

  • Highlight Riders Republic on the menu screen
  • Press the options button
  • Select ‘check for updates’

Epic Games

  • Select ‘Library’
  • Click the ‘…’ icon underneath Rider Republic’s thumbnail
  • Select ‘Update’, or deselect and select ‘Auto-Update
