Naughty Dog has animated a lot of movements for Nathan Drake in Uncharted: A Thief’s End.
Lead animator for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Jeremy Yates, tweeted:
“Drake’s core anims alone are over 3.5 hours and our E3 level has 1.5 hours of custom anims.”
Yates also tweeted out that over 30 minutes of animations were used in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’s market scene as you can see above. It sounds like even the non-playable characters have a lot of animations too.
It’s amazing how one character such as Nathan Drake has over 3.5 hours worth of animations in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Naughty Dog must have captured a lot of movements for the character.
The diverse amount of animations in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End also suggests Nathan Drake will get himself into a lot of trouble in the actual game. Normally action games have the hero just run and gun. This won’t be the case in Uncharted 4.
We already saw the type of crazy antics Nathan Drake gets up to during the E3 2015 video of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. New to the series will be playable vehicles as Drake was driving a jeep.
Sadly, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is not out until Spring 2016. Fans will have to settle for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for PS4 instead this year.
