Today marks the day that gamers (at least on current generation consoles) will be able to experience the BioShock games in remastered form with the release of BioShock: The collection. The collection packs in all three games of the series in remastered form, as well as all of the DLC and some bonus content.
To celebrate the release of the game the developers have released a launch trailer for the game, which you can check out at the bottom of this post. While the game’s visuals still hold up today thanks to the fantastic design, the remaster work done here is definitely welcomed.
While those who have already played through all of these games won’t be seeing too much that they haven’t already experienced before, the collection will be coming with a brand new video series that features commentary from director Ken Levine and lead artist Shawn Robertson.
BioShock: The Collection is available now for $60 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, though the game’s release on PC will not be happening until Thursday. While the reasons for this happening weren’t made entirely clear, it likely has to do with the different platform needing a bit more time for quality checks to avoid yet another disappointing PC game launch.
