Play Arts Kai is set to release an action figure of DD from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Hideo Kojima made the announcement on his Twitter account:

Here’s prototype of DD geared up in sneaking suits by PlayArts KAI. Still in checking phase.

As you can see, the new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain action figure is still in development. It looks pretty cool so far, but all it needs is obviously some color. We’re not sure when he’ll be available to buy, but it’s likely it will be out after the game’s release this September.

DD is short for Diamond Dog and is a wolf companion that Big Boss has in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This new action figure gives us an indication that you might be able to dress DD in different clothing. He’s wearing a sneaking suit in the toy. He even has a knife in his mouth too.

In the actual game itself, Big Boss can use DD during some missions in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This is a unique feature that hasn’t been explored by the series before. DD could end up being one of the most popular characters in the game.
