by William Schwartz

The Curse of Osiris DLC for Destiny 2 is set to go live on December 5th, but prior to the content being accessible to players Bungie will bring the servers offline for a brief period.  Bungie has explained that Destiny 2 servers will be offline for server maintenance on 12/5 to update the game to 1.1.0.

The expected duration of the downtime will be from 7am PST to 10am PST.

Once the servers come back online, players should have access to the Curse of Osiris, as well as the many changes that are being added to the game.

A number of changes are being added in to Destiny 2 on December 5th alongside the DLC as well as more on the 12th.  This includes the Masterworks weapons system, armor ornaments, and new ways to spend Legendary Shards.

Of course, the Curse of Osiris DLC will also be released which opens up a brand new area for players to explore in Mercury.  The downloadable content also features two new strikes, a bunch of new story missions, new Crucible maps and the Lighthouse.  The Lighthouse will feature a new NPC vendor named Brother Vance which will sell unique gear.
