The Coalition has revealed that some server maintenance will be done to Gears of War 4 later today. The servers will be offline for at least four hours.
The Gears of War Twitter page posted the following announcement: “We will be conducting maintenance on the Gears 4 servers tomorrow morning (now today) between 6AM-10AM PT as we prepare for the Title Update release.”
A similar announcement was made on the Gears of War forums page: “We will be performing server maintenance between 6am and 10am PDT to prepare for TU1. During this time, there will be a potential impact to online services – we recommend avoiding starting extended gameplay sessions (such as Horde) close to these hours to avoid disruption”
Patch notes have already been announced and a lot of changes are being made. The new update is pretty large as it’s approximately 6GB on both the Xbox One and PC.
The most exciting feature of the update are two new maps. The new maps will be available later today for Season Pass owners of Gears of War 4. If you don’t have the Season Pass for the game, you will be able to play the new maps on November 8th. For the full patch notes, click here to see them.
