Gears of War Judgment and God of War Ascension were flops

According to Cowen and Company analysts, Gears of War Judgment and God of War Ascension sold far less that their previous installments in the franchise. The analysts projects that Sony sold only 360,000 copies of Ascension, while Microsoft sold only 425,000 copies of Judgment.

These numbers are significantly lower than previous installments in the franchise. Comparatively, God of War III sold 1.1 million copies in its first month, and Gears of War III sold over three million.

While firm saw poor sales for the console exclusives, it’s not all doom and gloom from the analysis firm. They predict that Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider had decent sales in March. NPD will reveal its official numbers later this week, and we’ll find out if the analysts predictions are close, or not.
