Halo Master Chief Collection is getting a slew of cosmetics as part of the 20th birthday of the Halo franchise. 343 Industries and Xbox are looking to make the day, even more, grander for Halo players by adding some much-desired items to the collection. Halo The Master Chief Collection is a compilation of six Halo games in the Halo series, spanning different generations and originally came out in 2014 for newer Xbox consoles and later for PC.

Pretty recently, 343 came out with some exciting new updates for the fans of the franchise. In a blog post, the developers shared their plans for the content coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection over the following two months and said they are “thrilled to announce some brand-new content coming to MCC to help celebrate 20 years of Halo! With today’s update, there’s a fresh bevy of Halo-themed content for you to adorn your Spartans.”

With the new update, players will get to enjoy the Orion Armor for Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer, a set based on Master Chief’s debut during Halo’s initial 1999 preview. Halo 3 is also getting a ton of love from the developers. The new update is adding more customization options, including the Duke Controller shoulder pads, “The Beast” original Xbox back accessory, and the Mirage Armor Set. This will mark the first time the armor will arrive officially in any Halo title. That’s not all. The “OGX” weapon skin will modify Halo 3’s legendary weaponry into representations of the original Xbox, giving them black, white, and green makeovers. All the new cosmetics will arrive at the Exchange every week till January 5.

Earlier, 343 and Xbox had even released the limited edition Halo Infinite Xbox Series X console uniquely designed and inspired by Master Chief’s design intensified with gold and intricate linework. Xbox even collaborated with Adidas to release console-themed shoes to celebrate its 20th anniversary. These are fascinating times for the Halo franchise and with Halo Infinite just around the corner, it is nice to see the developers and Xbox pushing the envelope to get players hyped up about the launch. Recently, 343 even showed off 6 minutes of some sweet-looking Halo Infinite campaign to further fuel the enthusiasm. Halo Infinite will be the sixth mainline entry of the Halo series and will continue the story of the Master Chief, following Halo 5: Guardians. There’s also a free-to-play multiplayer coming with Halo Infinite.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
