Reviewers have not been kind to Homefront: The Revolution so far, with the game receiving largely negative reviews due to many problems across the board. However, Deep Silver has announced that they will be bringing lots of new content to the game that will be rolling out into next year.
The Voice of Freedom and Aftermath DLCs are set to be the game’s first two expansions, which bring new areas filled with more singleplayer content to explore. These will be followed by a massive expansion in 2017 that is called Beyond The Walls, though they haven’t shared details on that expansion yet.
There are all included in the game’s $79.99 expansion pass, which also comes with the following Resistance Mode perks:
- ‘Supply Line’ entitles players to a FREE Resistance Crate each week, just for logging into Resistance Mode
- ‘The Right Kind of School’ unlocks three new starting backgrounds for your Resistance Mode character: ‘ATF Agent’, ‘G-Man’ and ‘U.S. Marshall’
This Resistance Mode is apparently a co-operative experience that will launch with 6 missions next month. More will follow throughout the year, and all of this additional content will be released free of charge.
Homefront: The Revolution is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
