The fantastically dark and foreboding atmosphere of Little Nightmares is not done with you yet. Starting with today, Little Nightmares will be shoving you back into The Maw as a new character, the Runaway Kid.

Chapter One, called The Depths, releases today as part of the game’s ten-dollar expansion pass, Secrets of The Maw. The following chapters, The Hideaway and an unnamed chapter, will be releasing in November and January respectively.

“In The Depths, the story begins as some other kids lead an escape, but the Kid drops down into the Depths of the Maw. Little does he know that this murky place is home to The Granny – a creature abandoned to decay that will let no-one go. He must struggle on if he wants to survive, leap from floating debris to avoid being pulled into the treacherous waters, and find a way to create a path through the depths,” reads the Steam description. Have you wet your pants yet? I have.

Little Nightmares is a fantastic little horror game that is absolutely dripping in atmosphere. When our reviewer played it he said, “What it lacks in gameplay substance is made up for in visual and audio design. If that’s a trade-off you’re worth making, then Little Nightmares is a decent entry for the genre.” Let’s hope that the DLC either stays the same or improved on the original. Either way, I’m happy to try it out.
