Minecraft Battle Mode arrived just over a week ago, and while gamers are enjoying the brand new minigame, there were a few issues. Glitches and other things impacted gameplay, though nothing that ruined the mode entirely. Still, 4J Studios has put together a new Minecraft update to address these problems, issuing it out some time later today for PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U.
The Minecraft update addresses a lot of glitches that appeared in the Battle Mode upon launch, including areas of the map where players could get stuck. However, the majority of the changes are balance and gameplay related, adding in new weapons, or tweaking some default settings.
The full patch notes (for the Xbox One version specifically) are: Disable kicking players during Public Battle rounds. This is enabled for the host in the Lobby. Disable the host exiting the game during a Battle round. This is enabled in the lobby. Grace period increased to 20 seconds. Changed all Poison Potions to level 2 instead of level 1. All Sticks now have at least Sharpness 1. Replaced the Fire Charge item with a Potion of Fire Resistance. Replaced the Diamond Chestplate with an Iron Chestplate. The Wooden Hoe with Fire Aspect 1 has Sharpness 1 added to it. Removed the Wooden Shovel from the Centre Chests. Added Sharpness 1 to the Wooden Pickaxe in the Outer Chests. Added Sharpness 2 to the Wooden Shovel in the Outer Chests.
I’ll definitely miss the diamond chestplate, as it was key to a few of my victories when I got to check out the Minecraft Battle Mode mini game. What about you?
