Monster Prom Gets Free Summer-Themed Update

A couple of months ago, the indie comedy dating sim Monster Prom was released, which let players attempt to woo one of several classmates in a high school for monsters. The game’s charm and sense of humor led to a very positive reception from fans, and now the game has gotten its first major update.

It was recently announced in a press release that to celebrate today (June 21) being the first day of summer, Monster Prom now has a free, summer-themed update available called the “F*ckin’ Hot Update.” This update includes new, limited time, summery outfits for each of the game’s six main prospective love interests. Also, after a poll was conducted to see which of these six love interests was the most popular, a new secret ending involving the demon Damien trying to fight the sun has been added to the game. The art for the cafeteria and Weekend Events has been revamped to look prettier and Steam Trading Cards have been added. Lastly, a Gallery Mode has been added, which will include pictures of scenarios and endings you have achieved, as well as some early concept art and even fan art. To top everything off, the game is currently on sale.

In Monster Prom, the player and up to three friends take on monster personas and attend Spooky High School, a school for monsters. There are only three weeks left until prom, so the players have to scramble to try to win the heart of one of their most charismatic classmates, including a hipster vampire, a genocidal mermaid princess and a ghost who just wants to party. Aside from the six main love interests, there are some other characters you might be able to woo, as well as plenty of secret endings and endless scenarios that give the game great replay value. The game is available on Steam for PC and Mac.
