Not long ago, DONTNOD announced that the highly anticipated Life is Strange 2 would be premiering in September, with more information to come in August. Well, now it’s August, and our first bit of new info is here.
A new teaser was recently uploaded to the official Life is Strange YouTube channel, which gives us a little insight into what the story of the new game will be. The teaser shows some dash-cam footage of a police car, with the officer driving the car eventually stopping to investigate a “10-10 in progress.” Minutes later, both the officer and the car are thrown aside by what appears to be supernatural forces.
In The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, a newspaper can be found in which the death of a police officer whose cause of death is unknown was detailed. The date of the footage in the new teaser is October 28, 2016, which also lines up with the newspaper article in Captain Spirit, with the game taking place sometime in late 2016. This is likely one of many more examples of Life is Strange 2 clues hidden in Captain Spirit.
The teaser ends by stating that “All will be revealed August 20th, 2018.” The first episode of Life is Strange 2 is set to launch on September 27 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
