Attack of the Fanboy

New Streetpass Games and Update Available Now

by Kyle Hanson

During today’s Nintendo Direct there were tons of big announcements, but for longtime 3DS fans one of the biggest has to be the reveal of changes to the Streetpass Plaza. Not only are there new Streetpass games coming, but a big new update that will bring a lot of fan requested features to the 3DS.

Slot Car Rivals, Market Crashers, Feed Me, Mii Trek and Ninja Launcher are all brand new games that you can play with the many people you Streetpass with on your 3DS. Each costs $2.99, but you can get either Slot Car Rivals or Market Crashers for free, and then purchase a discounted bundle of the rest of the games, if you just have to have them all.

But for longtime Streetpass fans the best news were all the changes being made to the overall service. With a premium update players can now store up to 100 Streetpasses, then sift through them much faster than ever before. This is a tenfold increase over the previous limit, and should really help those times you find yourself at a gaming convention or other highly populated area.

The new Quick Plaza addition to the Mii Plaza makes the whole experience of going through your Streetpasses and playing the games faster, and more efficient. The updates should be live now, so go grab them.
