Mortal Kombat X released back in April with a balanced roster of fighters that provided a ton of fun for gamers. Beyond that, four more characters were released as DLC, with two being based on icon horror characters from outside of the franchise. A little while ago we learned that more were coming and the first reveal is coming very soon.

The Game Awards 2015 are only a day away, which will showcase the best of the best from the last year, and Mortal Kombat X has already been named as a nominee for the Best Fighting Game category, which it very likely will win.

That is far from the only presence that the game will have at The Game Awards though, as some of the upcoming DLC is set to be announced as well. Series creator Ed Boon took to Twitter to tease the announcement himself:

Really looking forward to attending on Thursday with the exclusive reveal of “Who’s Next” in MKX !!

Based on past reveals, one would assume we will only learn of one fighter here, but it would be awesome if they went all out and gave us all four in this second round of DLC.

The Game Awards will started Thursday night, December 3 at 9 pm ET, so make sure to stay tuned for details on this character reveal, and you can check out the teaser trailer for the announcement, even though it shows nothing new.
