It appears Hello Games is not giving up as the developer is hiring a writer and other positions to work on No Man’s Sky in the future.
On the official Hello Games website, they are currently hiring for a new writer, QA tester, Experienced Programmer, and a Graduate Programmer. Details of the writing position can be seen below.
We’re looking for a talented writer to join our team to work on No Man’s Sky! Here’s the sort of person we’re after:
- You have proven experience of delivering high quality written content in games
- You’re super creative with an amazing eye for detail, with a track record of delivering incredibly engaging content
- You’re not a one trick pony – you can turn your hand to any kind of writing, both creative and non-creative
- You have a solid understanding of writing in video games and you’re comfortable with technical aspects of the role.
- You *love* games
All of these positions were listed on December 8th, 2016. This shows us that Hello Games has a newfound interest in No Man’s Sky. They stayed silent on the game for many months, until the new update patch that came out just recently.
There’s not much else to say about what is the most controversial game of 2016. Many people expected the game to deliver infinite possibilities. What we got was a stale game that got repetitive quickly after you left your first planet.
Adding a writer to the game could mean new things happen. Again, job listings may not always come to fruition, but it’s a good sign that Hello Games is looking to the future and not abandoning the game forever.
If you want to apply to any of these positions, you can email them at [email protected]. Do you feel that they can improve the game?
