Planetside 2 has an official release date for the PlayStation 4. After months of beta testing the MMO FPS will launch as a free to play title on June 23rd. Anybody can play Planetside 2 on the PlayStation 4, no PlayStation Plus membership is required to access the game.
If you’re the type of shooter fan that favors large scale battles, including infantry, air, and ground vehicles Planetside offers this like no other game. Over a thousand players can battle it out in these massive planetary wars.
While Planetside 2 has been available on PC for some time, the PlayStation 4 version has a number of console specific features. These include things like exclusive maps, features, holiday events, and marketplace items.
Look for Planetside 2 as a free download on PS4 beginning on June 23rd in North America.
